Introduction

The ICE KENNY School of Beauty successfully hosted its second annual "Tug of War Beauty on the Rope Out" event on 18th June 2025 at Resort Beach, Entebbe. The competition was officially sanctioned and overseen by officials from the Federation of Tug of War Associations in Uganda (FUTWA), marking the second consecutive year of collaboration between the school and the federation to promote the sport of tug of war among students in the field of cosmetology and hairdressing.

Event Overview

The event brought together students from Kampala’s top beauty school, ICE KENNY School of Beauty in a spirited display of teamwork, strength, and endurance. The competition aimed to foster camaraderie, discipline, and physical fitness among students while introducing them to the exciting world of tug of war.

Key Highlights:

- Opening Remarks: The school’s administration, represented by Miss Catherine Zeta, emphasized the importance of sports in building resilience and teamwork among beauty students.

- FUTWA’s Involvement: The federation’s president, Dr. Kintu Edmund, commended ICE KENNY School of beauty for its commitment to integrating sports into beauty education and pledged continued support for future editions.  

- Competition Structure: Teams competed in multiple rounds, with strict adherence to FUTWA regulations. The matches were intense, showcasing both skill and determination.

- Awards & Recognition: Winning teams received medals and certificates, with special recognition for outstanding sportsmanship.  

Conclusion

The 2025 Tug of War Beauty on the Rope Out was a resounding success, further strengthening the partnership between ICE KENNY School of Beauty and FUTWA. The event not only promoted physical fitness but also reinforced the school’s dedication to holistic student development. Plans are already underway for an even bigger and better competition in 2026.
