BUGANDA LAND BOARD CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF THE 2024 BUGANDA KINGDOM CORPORATE GAMES TUG OF WAR CHAMPIONSHIP.

The Buganda Kingdom corporate gamesTug of war championship 2024 came to an end on Saturday 30th November with a new champion.

The games that were played at Lubiri High School Mengo saw all Buganda kingdom Corporate companies participate and they were blessed by the presence od the Buaganda kingdom prime minister Charles Peter Mayiga and the minister for sports for Buganda Kingdom Owek. Robert Sserwanga.

The 2024 edition of the Buganda Kingdom Sports Galla was organized by CBS FM under the theme "OMMANYI" which is translated as (Do you know me?)

19 teams turned up for the championship all from the 19 corporate organizations of Buganda kingdom and yes it was a gender sensitive tournament that each team was supposed to field at least 5 males and 3 females and vise versa. 

Buganda Land Board (BLB) were crowned champions of the Buganda Kingdom Corporate games 2024 Tug of war championship. This was their first time to win the championship after missing out on the gold wear in 2023 when they lost to Nkuluze by 2:1.

Winning all 9 games through the tournament climaxing with a beautiful win over Buganda Royal University at the final. 

The semi finals were played by of course BLB who beat BBS TV and Buganda Royal University who beat Lubiri High School Mengo. 

The third place was sealed by Lubiri High School Mengo after beating BBS TV .This was the second edition to be handle by the Federation of Tug War Association Uganda (FUTWA).  The first edition was in 2023 and was won by Nkuluze who were the organizers at that time.

We continue to argue all people of Buganda Kingdom and Uganda in general to always exercise in order to stay fit and healthy and this can be well reached at through sports" said Charles Peter Mayiga the Katikiro of Buganda.
