The Federation of Uganda Tug of War Associations (FUTWA) is the only governing body for tug of war in Uganda and was founded in 2020 with the objective of developing tug of war. We organise tug of war events throughout the year including league events and national championships for men’s teams, ladies teams, junior teams, U23 and mixed teams.
We are working with the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) to bring you the first of it's kind Uganda Secondary Schools Tug of War Championships in a bid to select the School which will qualify to represent Uganda in the May 4th 2023 All African Tug of War Under 23 Championships in Kimberly South Africa were all accommodation costs will be paid for all participants through FUTWA's collaboration with the International Tug of War Federation (TWIF).
