FEDERATION OF UGANDA TUG OF WAR ASSOCIATIONS TAKING THE BEAUTIFUL SPORT TO UGANDAN SECONDARY SCHOOLS & PROMOTING SAFE SPORTS BY USMWA.
Today 7th Feb 2023 Mr. KINTU Edmund the current president of the Federation of Uganda Tug of War Associations and the Uganda Sports Medical Workers Association took a courtesy visit to the noble Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) in Kampala. He was warmly welcomed by the USSSA President & Vice President FUFA Mr Justus Mugisha alongside Mr Mugisha Christopher the CEO & Miss Apoloti Harriet.
Among the key issued discussed was how to introduce TUG OF WAR Sport into Ugandan Secondary Schools mainly at the inter secondary schools champions. Mr. Justus Mugisha and the entire USSSA appreciated the the Federation of Uganda Tug of War Associations' efforts and adviced them to involve as many secondary schools as possible in to playing TUG OF WAR, he also agreed to give FUTWA an opportunity to introduce the beautiful sports to secondary schools during the upcoming USSSA national Championship.
Mr. Kintu Edmund also introduced the Uganda Sports Medical Workers Association (USMWA) to USSSA outlining it's objectives.
He pointed out provision of professional Sports Medical care to secondary schools students as a key point since young players are more active and are more prone to injuries so this requires professional sports medical care which USMWA can easily provide. He further more informed them of the big number of potential sports medical workers who are willing to offer this kind of service if called upon.
The USSSA president agreed to work with USMWA in their up come National Champions as a means of preserving the good health of their students players thus promoting safe sports in secondary schools.
