Ugandan FIFA referee Mr.William Oloya

Imagine a case where a team doctor would spend 30sec to access the injured player on pitch in this case the refree  was spending 1-2mins on multiple incidences asking the injuired player to get up when he fails he could tell the team doctor not to enter field of play but called the Stretcher team.
Kintu Edmund' Ndejje University FC Team Doctor  & President of the Uganda Sports Medical Workers Association.

Team Doctor Kintu Edmund had this to say as he interacted with the match accessor Mr Ali Tomusange after the match.

"I don't know if FUFA as made a new rule for referees to become the team doctors of clubs this is football and all stakeholders need to respect each other but as sports medical personnel we can not keep looking on as Match Officials deny players the right to quick medical accessment by the touchline medical team.
Many players have lost their lives from incidences that many called simple."

Ndejje University FC goal scorer recieves treatment for muscle cramp off the pitch.

"Some injuries require quick intervention so that they don't get worse in some incidences what looks like a simple Muscle cramp if its not well attended to early, it can result into tearing of a muscle living the player with long term medical problems."

Types of Medical teams in football
In Football Sports medicine we have two sets of medical teams these are:

 A. Touchline medical team
These manage the first line treatment of an injured play and these are the club medical personnel who sit on the bench with the rest of the team players and officials. This medical team is always called upon by the Center refree when a play gets an injury and they also determine when the sideline medical team include the Strecher should be called upon for more assistance.

B. Sideline medical team.
These manage player evacuation and secondary treatment Incase the player get a more serious injury and in most cases he is unable to return to the field of play. Sideline medical team carry more advance medical equipment and medication and also manage the ambulance. This medical team does not sit on the technical bench.

Inconclusion the match assessor Mr. Ali Tomusange and Dr Kintu Edmund agreed that they is alot both the match officials and team doctors have to share to avoid incidences where one blames the other to improve football.

Ali Tomusange Retired FIFA referee

The Match Accessor also informed us that "in some games the  team doctors waste alot of time on the pitch and this is why in some cases the center refree calls on the Strecher to save time but also agreed that the medical team should be allowed to access the injuired player and if the team doctor misbehaves in anyway he or she can be cautioned like any other official by recieving a Yellow or red card.
