SOME UGANDAN MATCH OFFICIALS ARE KILLERS OF TALENT & ENEMIES OF PROGRESS TO UGANDAN ๐บ๐ฌ FOOTBALL.
How I wish that all sports reporters attend all the games they write about.
What happened in Tororo at the King Georgy memorial stadium today 12th Nov 2021 at the opening of the Startimes FUFA Big league answered many questions to why Uganda cranes performes the way it does always missing out on the qualifying for big tournaments and when it does its eliminated due to lack of goals.
Ndejjje University team Doctor attends to an injured player as Mr Katende the centre referee stand by with other players.
Some referees are killers of talent.
MYDA FC was given two penalties by the centre referee (Mr KATENDE) as their striker missed the ball and went down without any tackle in Ndejje's 18 yard box on two occasions not forgetting ndejje's two open penalty chances where, one handball by MYDA FC player in his own 18yard box in the first 15minutes of fhe first half and another one was a tackle on Sali ndejje winger in MYDA FC's box all these were denied.
Well, this is the real definition of talent killing and enemies of progress.
We can not have the best-talented players identified for the national team if this keeps happening in Ugandan league football with clubs winning games on the mercy of the referees.
Well as the saying goes "everything can not go wrong on the field of play". Senior players like Kayiizi exhibited great fair play for the game and respect between players was paramount. A match official may try to kill the game of football through poor officiation but can not kill the love and passion Ugandan fans have for the beautiful game of football. The game ended 3 - 2 in favor of the host club MYDA FC who score two contested penalties.
FUFA still has a big task ahead of them of cleaning the officiation ( Referees) house if its to bring back fans to the stadiums after this covid 19 pandemic clubs especially in big league where clubs struggle to honor away fixture only to be disappointed by poor officiation.
